This GMC will make an excellent coach for someone on a limited budget but long on motivation. It needs going through each system(furnace, A/C, electrical, plumbing, refrigerator,water heater) and more. Expect many to be okay, but also will need tires. The low mileage engine turns freely and I expect it to start with minimum effort. Also, expect the drive train to be okay. The Edgemonte is rare, only one year and 132 examples made. It has the prefered 455cid engine and features rear twin sofa/beds(77 inches long), a dry shower and many features found on 77 and 78 GMC motorhomes(e.g. Electro Level I air system, upgraded dinette, late style windows, a seperate sub-frame, better floor insulation, swival front seat bases, panel below steering wheel, HEI ingition.
 
Pricing at only $2500 allows the buyer to upgrade as time and funds permit.
 
Not being a mechanic myself, I have learned there is much that can be done to improve a GMC without having to go to the RV service companies. In fact, I am going through another Edgemonte as a replacement for the 74 GMC Eleganza we have had for seven years.  We love the floorplan and my wife appreciates the dry bath area with seperate shower.......Michael at GEMRECS
