We are selling out 74 GMC Eleganza so that we can restore a 1976 GMC Edgemonte which has some features we really like as it was modified by the prior owner. I have several pages of why one should buy this coach as opposed to some other. I will be happy to email this document to you along with photos of this coach. This includes a listing of all work we have done or had done along and the cost. The buyer will receive all of the receipts along with the GMC Maintenance Manual (no longer in print).
We have over $16,000 in maintenance, repairs and updates over 10 years to this GMC. My main goal always has been reliability. As this GMC came with little documentation and I was anxious to have one, I found that much work had to be done. True, after failures with Michelin tires, I decided to buy 7 Alcoas and 7 new Bridgestone tires at a cost of $2700 which may not have been necessary but sure are better than the 16.5 in. original wheels and tire type.
However, we are not yet done. What remains is to defeat the effects of ethanol by dropping the fuel tanks and changing all fuel hoses. This will be done before the buyer takes delivery for reliability.
If you are seriously looking for a quality GMC fully documented, email me for the package. This coach is priced at $14,500.
